Shortcut apple crisp
Have you ever been desperate for a homemade dessert but just didn't have the time (or energy) or the ingredients to make one? Please tell me I'm not alone!! This past week I whipped up this yummy apple crisp recipe (if I can even call it that) in next to no time at all and it was a major hit. It's one of those things where you nearly always have the ingredients in the pantry to make it.
1 1/2 cups granola (I used Natures Path Organic)
11/2 Tbsp cinnamon
2 Tbsp brown sugar
4 Tbsp of butter (each tablespoon cut individually and then quartered)
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine granola, cinnamon and brown sugar in bowl and mix. Dice up each apple and place in individual mini pie dishes or ramekins. Sprinkle granola mixture over each of the apple dishes and then top each with 1 tablespoon worth of butter. Bake for 15 minutes (checking at about 10 minutes and on as it can burn quickly). Once finished baking, top each individual dish with a scoop of ice cream or leave it as, serve warm and enjoy!
