Nectarine Tart | A Three Ingredient Dessert

This just might be the easiest homemade dessert recipe ever but you would never guess it. With just three ingredients and some fresh whip cream, you can create something incredibly delicious and beautiful! In time for nectarine season, this dish means I'm one happy gal!

Nectarine Tart

from The Weekend Cookbook

Ingredients

1 large sheet of puff pastry (thawed)

8 nectarines sliced

1 1/2 Tbsp granulated sugar (or a mixture of 1 Tbsp granulated sugar and 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees, roll out puff pastry using a rolling pin until it's a rectangle that's about 8-10 inches in length (or the size of the baking dish you are using). Place the pastry on a baking sheet or baking dish and scatter the nectarine slices all over it (be sure to leave a 1/2-1 inch edge). Roll the edge under slightly if you want it a bit thicker or leave as is and sprinkle the entire top of the pastry with sugar (we used the sugar mixture so it had a slightly stronger flavour). Bake for 15 minutes (I found it always takes longer in our oven and is done around 20-30 minutes). You can also starting checking at the 15 minute mark and once the pastry is starting to crisp up, increase the oven temperature to 425 for the last few minutes to darken the crust even more-only do this if the pastry is nearly done baking to avoid a soggy crust bottom).

We served ours warm (after letting it cool for about 20 minutes) with a large dollop of homemade vanilla whip cream and powdered sugar on top of each serving, but a good vanilla ice cream would be wonderful as well!
